Barometers

Edura-Instruments barometers can be found in the section to measure absolute pressure, differential pressure in respect to the atmosphere and negative pressure. We have barometers such as the DB2 digital barometer which has an internal memory for up to 750 savings and an analogue output of 0 to 1 volts. The Atmospheric pressure (also called barometric pressure) is an expression for the weight of air (atmosphere) due to the earth's gravitation. Atmospheric pressure is 1013.25 mbars (milibars) at sea level. The Thermo-hygro-barometers are also called climate meters. These meters can not only measure barometeric pressure, but also relative humidity and temperature. Our AVM-4000 series barometers are multi-function meters for measuring pressure, humidity, temperature and wind speed. Before you use your barometer or thermohygro-barometer, they have to be adjusted to 1013 mbars which is the air pressure at sea level. Your meter-display shows then the proper value, what depends on meteorological conditions and altitude, which determine the atmospheric pressure. The DB-2 series barometers have a second measurement field. That measurement field serves to measure negative pressure or over pressure in consideration of the atmosphere. This allows you to use the digital barometer as a handheld-meter to measure negative pressure in a laboratory.
